ABOUT THE LUNA GIRLS GROUPS

Below is an outline of the LUNA GIRLS GROUPS designed for young people to support them to become the best they can be and to hold their own self in a world full of excitement and challenges.

Each mentoring session is supported by craft, song, games, poetry and storytelling.

Every meeting will begin and end with a sharing circle which nurtures an understanding of our cyclical nature.

This course is run in a woodland setting allowing a deep sense of nature connection to unfold.

This exceptional setting  invites individual exploration and quiet contemplation as well as bonding social interaction and supportive fun.

The titles below are a guide, each journey is adapted to the participants and to their current needs and interests.

  • Gratitude and Reverence……Connect with natural cycles: seasonal, lunar and menstrual. Find and nurture a special quiet spot in nature and experience deep awe and gratitude.
  • Tending and Caring…..Remembering to care for our bodies, ourselves; Tending trust, self nourishment and friendship (crafting leather bracelets)
  • Fire and Inspiration… Take up the one match challenge! Learn about nourishing our own fire of inspiration. Connect with ancient tree wisdom
  • Service to the Community……How do we define our community? Share our dreams for the future. Find time to visit an elder, human or other than human.
  • Communication and Consent…… Here we explore how to communicate compassionately whilst honouring ourselves. We increase our emotional vocabulary and intelligence. We learn about the way of the peaceful warrior.
  • Agility and Sense Awareness……We explore the woods down on all fours, engaging all our senses: fox walking, owl eyes, deer ears.
